The France Bois 2024 project was spearheaded and funded by CODIFAB (Professional Committee for the Development of French Furniture and Wood Industries) and the national interprofessional organization France Bois Forêt, to promote the use of timber construction and design solutions, particularly French, in the infrastructure for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (JOP). Its aim is to provide the necessary collective information to project owners and facilitate the participation of as many companies in the sector as possible, committed to meeting the challenge. Wood is essential to achieve the carbon goals of the JOP aligned with the Paris Agreement. It is a structuring and unifying project of the Strategic Contract for the Wood Sector, signed on November 16, 2018.
