The UIPC (known until 2015 as UFC) was founded in 1999 by companies industrially manufacturing plywood panels and decorative panels. The UIPC, representing the profession, emerged from a real desire among business leaders to gather around common interests, to defend and promote the specificities of their profession and products. The UIPC carries out collective actions, the benefits of which may be individual, but which no one can undertake alone due to lack of time and resources. The life of the UIPC is punctuated by the organization of a quarterly General Assembly and regular meetings of dedicated commissions (social, technical, and communication). The UIPC is managed and animated by a General Delegate and, relying on the work of its professional commissions, assists the President in his professional and representational responsibilities.
